2006 Ohio State Tournament, September 9 & 10, Traveler’s Choice Hotel, Medina, OH
(7-rounds, 3-move)
Congratulations to Alex for winning his
4th straight Ohio state title and 5th Straight Ohio Tournament. Ed Bruch at age
90 had another solid performance. I don’t believe he lost a game either. Neil
Wenberg was B champ. Special thanks to those who donated:
including Joe LoConti (always a big contributor!), Kozenski, Bruch, and Millhone.
Also, thanks to Steve (and Marilyn) Holliday for assisting me with referee
duties and for providing cookies & ginger bread.  Richard Beckwith - ACF
Player Rep  (above table and text from ACF Forum 9/11/06 & RCB email
9/11/06. My thanks to Dr. Beckwith for a well run
tournament and to Mr. Joe LoConti for supporting Ohio Checkers financially,
thanks Joe. Those who could not attend missed a top notch tournament and the
opportunity to meet and play some of the best talent available in the game
today. Sincerely: Alan Millhone, President American Checker Federation - text
